The intentions of this project were to transform
an ordinary shop into a joyful, fascinating space
designed with children in mind, but avoiding the
clichés of for-children design. The space itself is a
playful exploration of lines, planes and volumes
using light and colour. The linearity of the plan
however, is distorted by a paradoxical angle which
represents the true, unpredictable, path kids make
through a space. By curving the furniture's edges
we cushion customers from being potentially
unsettled by the unorthodox display.

Μαρούσι, 250 m2


Σε αυτή τη μελέτη ένα συνηθισμένο μαγαζί
μεταμορφώθηκε σε ένα χαρούμενο, εντυπωσιακό
χώρο σχεδιασμένο με γνώμονα τα παιδιά,
αποφεύγοντας τους κλισέ σχεδιασμούς
για αυτά. Χαρακτηρίζεται από μια διάθεση
παιχνιδιού στη σχέση γραμμών, επιφανειών
και όγκων χρησιμοποιώντας φως και χρώμα. Η
γραμμικότητα της κάτοψης παραμορφώνεται
από μια παράδοξη γωνία η οποία ανακλά τη μη
γραμμική, απρόβλεπτη κίνηση των παιδιών μέσα
στο χώρο. Καμπυλώνοντας τις άκρες των επίπλων
δόθηκε ένα αίσθημα προστασίας σε αυτή τη μη
συμβατική διάταξη στο χώρο.
